Mary J. Carfagno (nee Colizzi), a life long resident of Norristown, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 20, 2012. She was 85 years old. Born June 24, 1927 in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Quintino and Filomena (nee Romano) Colizzi and the beloved wife of the late Frank C. Carfagno. Mary was a graduate of Norristown Area High School. She also spent over 30 years at Sears in a customer service role. Mary enjoyed cooking family dinners, family vacations and reading. Mary is survived by her children; Judith L. Grill (Michael), Frank Carfagno (Denise) and Rick Carfagno, three grandchildren; Michael Grill (Vera), Lisa Grill and Jamie Carfagno, one great grandson, Brendan Grill, her brother John Colizzi and sister Angela Hannigan. She was preceded in death by her two brothers and her sister. Relatives and friends are invited to share in Mary's Life Celebration service on Wednesday, October 24, from 8:45 AM to 10:20 AM at St. Patrick's Church 714 Dekalb St. Norristown. Her funeral mass will begin at 10:30 AM at the church. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery. Family services are by Boyd-Horrox of East Norriton 610-277-7000.
