Baker, Jasper Leroy* - Blue Bell  
Jasper Leroy Baker of Blue Bell Jasper Leroy Baker, affectionately known as Leroy, passed away at his home with his family by his side on July 20, 2015 at age 69. Born March 26, 1946 in Smoaks SC, Jasper was the son of Thelma (Bryant) Baker and the late Jasper Will Baker. He resided in Blue Bell with Janice R. (LaBrecque) Baker, his beloved wife of 23 years. Besides their deep love, they shared a love of family, friends and horses. Leroy was the loving father of Sharon Johnson, Jasper L. Baker Jr, Kyle Baker (Sheyla) and step-children Janet Miller (Daniel), Jim Maloney (Nancy) and Michael Maloney (Suzanne). He was the cherished grandfather of 19 and great grandfather of six. In addition to his mother, Leroy is survived by his sisters Leatha Davis, Clair Hawkins, Anne Trimble, and Gloria Gibbons, his brother Thomas Baker and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Leroy was a member of UFCW Local 1776 and a member of St Helena’s Parish. Leroy retired from Acme Supermarkets after 40 years of service. After retiring from Acme, he drove students for the Wissahickon school district. He was known by all because of his friendliness and was appreciated and admired for his charity to those in need. Leroy and Janice fostered eight children and helped many people. He enjoyed riding horses, listening to country music, and watching old western shows. He knew how to fix anything – plumbing, electricity, cars – and offered his talent to everyone. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to Leroy’s Life Celebration at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 W. Germantown Pike on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 6-8pm and again Monday, July 27th from 9-10am. Words of Remembrance will be at 9:30am. Leroy’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated by his brother-in-law Rev. Frederick LaBrecque at St. Helena Church in Blue Bell, PA at 11am. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery. Bartlett, James Paul* - Formerly Of Trooper  
James Paul Bartlett, formerly of Trooper James Paul Bartlett, formerly of Trooper, PA, died on 7/2/15 at St. Petersburg General Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on 9/29/60. He was a graduate of Methacton high school . He became a first degree black belt in tae kwon do and was the owner of Valley Forge Jewelers in King of Prussia, PA. His business interests led him to Florida where he enjoyed warm weather and good friends and family. He continued his career in jewelry and antiquities in the St. Petersburg area occasionally appearing on local tv broadcasts. He was the son of the late Ruth Bartlett. He is survived by his father Clarence Bartlett, His daughter Amelia Bartlett, His two brothers David and Daniel Bartlett, nephews Joshua, Christopher, and Cameron Bartlett, niece Ashley Bartlett and uncles David Barclay, Michael Barclay, and Paul Barclay. There will be a memorial service on Sunday, 7/26/15 At 2:00 PM. LOCATION: Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 311 2nd Street Schwenksville, PA 19473.

Bowers, Paul R.* - Norristown  
Paul R. Bowers of Norristown Paul R. Bowers of Norristown passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at the age of 81. Born December 11, 1933 in Williamsport, Maryland, he was the son of the late Foster and Sarah (Hoover) Bowers. Paul was a graduate of Williamsport High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a military police officer. Paul was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal during his time in service. He worked as a printer for Schank Printing in Conshohocken, PA from where he retired in 2010 after a long career. He was a loving son, brother, husband, and uncle and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Marguerite (nee Pettine). He is also survived by a sister Sarah Hoch of Williamsport, Maryland, two brothers, Phillip Lee (Pam) of Williamsport, Maryland and David (Mae) of Hagerstown, Maryland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his ten siblings, Marcella, Thomas, Phyllis, Laura, Foster, Jr., Orville, Norman, Donald, Joseph, and John. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing for Paul on Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 9 to 9:45 AM, at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 714 DeKalb Street, Norristown, PA. Mass will follow the viewing at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s. Burial will take place in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery, East Norriton, PA.

Burnett, Barbara J.* - West Chester  
Barbara J. Burnett of West Chester Barbara J. Burnett (nee Landy), 71, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at Chester County Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late James W. Burnett, Jr., with whom she shared 34 years of marriage. Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Helen Zabrowski Landy. She was a graduate of Conshohocken High School. Barbara was a devout catholic, attending St. Matthew’s Church in Conshohocken and also St. Joseph Church in Downingtown. She worked at Bradford Heights Elementary School and Giant Food in Thorndale for 14 years. She also served as a peer mediator at Brandywine Hall where she resided. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and was an avid bingo player. Above all else, she loved spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Burnett is survived by her children, Deborah (Richard) Rosati of Exton, Michelle (Greg) McFadden of Pomeroy, James (Suzi) Burnett of Coatesville, Audrey (Daniel) Madonna of Exton, Joseph (Carynne) Burnett of Coatesville, and Kelley Burnett of Thorndale. She is also survived by her sister Nancy Jaworski of Plymouth Meeting; sisters-in-law, Mary Keusel of Eagle and Marguerite Wright of Conshohocken; and by 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. An evening visitation will held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 27, at St. Matthew Parish, 219 Fayette Street, Conshohocken with a visitation from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Interment will be in St. Matthew Cemetery, Conshohocken.
