Gallo, Benjamin* - East Norriton  
Benjamin “Ben” Gallo of East Norriton passed away on May 24,2016 at his residence. He was 88 years old. Born in Sicily, Italy on July 25, 1927 and was the son of the late Joseph and Maria (Raso) Gallo. He worked as a brick layer for 30 years at Allenwood Steel Company and then worked as the head custodian at the Norristown School District where he retired. Ben loved being out in his garden and ,also, enjoyed dancing, entertaining, traveling, and playing cards. He was a member of Holy Saviour Church and their senior group and was a lifetime member of the M.S.S. and served on their board for several years. Ben is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years; Elizabeth M. “Betty” (Pumilia) Gallo, his children; Lynn (the late Joseph) Rudzenski of Marlton, NJ, Donna (Peter) Toto of East Norriton, and Joseph Gallo of Blue Bell, his sisters; Charlotte Pumilia and Antoinette DeCarlo. Also survived by eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Relatives and friends invited to his viewing Saturday 10:00 – 10:50 A.M. followed by Funeral Mass 11:00 A.M. at Holy Saviour R.C. Gannon, Edward C.* - Norristown  
Edward C. Gannon, 85, of Norristown, passed away on May 24, 2016. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, on January 9, 1931 to the late Thomas and Ruth (Koch) Gannon. Ed was a devout Catholic and member of the former St. Augustine’s Church of Bridgeport. He served as Class President and graduated from West Catholic High School for Boys in 1949. He was Class President and proud graduate of Saint Joseph’s University where he was later active in the alumni association. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Temple University. Ed was a dedicated member of Malvern Retreat House for over 50 years. He enjoyed umpiring baseball and was active in the Norristown Baseball Umpire Association until his passing. His most proud achievement was being a teacher. He taught at both Marple Technical School and Upper Merion School District. He honorably served in the Navy during the Korean War. Ed is survived by his son, Francis X. Gannon of Berwyn, PA, and daughters, Peggy Gannon Fernandez of Seattle, WA; and Barbara Stein of Schwenksville, PA. He is grandfather to Jakob and Stella Stein and Evie and Benjamin Fernandez. Preceded in death by brothers Thomas and Jack and one sister, Rita Henion. His Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi RC Church, Marshall & Buttonwood Sts., Norristown, PA 19401. Viewing will be held before the mass from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Malvern Retreat House, 315 S. Warren Ave., Malvern, PA 19355 or Saint Joseph’s University, 5600 City Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19131. Goodson, Emma Mary* - Pensacola  
Emma Mary Goodson, 84, of Pensacola, Fla., passed away peacefully on May 19, 2016, at her daughter's home in Upper Providence Twp., surrounded by her loving family. Emma was the beloved wife of the late Jack Goodson, with whom she shared almost 50 years of marriage. She was born in Norristown, Pa., on July 17, 1931. Emma lived in Pensacola, Fla., for 13 years, formerly of Eagleville, Pa. She enjoyed bowling and loved playing bingo. Most of all, she was a loving grandmother to her two grandsons, and recently had the joy of meeting her new greatgranddaughter, Olivia Grace. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elsie Deyoc. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa (& Anthony) Palmieri of Upper Providence, Pa.; son Barry Goodson of Pensacola, Fla.; brother, Frank (Pat) Deyoc; sister Linda (Bruce) West; sister Catherine (James) Miller; grandson Anthony (Meredith) Palmieri; grandson Andrew Palmieri; and her great-granddaughter, Olivia Grace. In addition to her parents and husband, Emma was preceded in death by her son Frank and three brothers. Her Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 7 p.m. from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 224 W. Main St., Trappe, PA 19426. Fr. Paul Brandt will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday evening from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private in Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Fla.
