Barbara Lamprecht, 106, of East Norriton, died peacefully on March 18, 2014 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late John Lamprecht.
She was born in Unterbleichen, Germany on Dec. 23, 1907 to the late Leonard and Theresa (Konrad) Birle. She attended school in Germany and immigrated to the US as a teenager. She met and later married her husband John, and worked with him in the family business as owners of the Blue Bell Inn. Barbara enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, traveling, and frequently visiting her homeland in Germany. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Helena Church. She is survived by three children John H. Lamprecht of Gwynedd Valley, Frank J. Lamprecht of Blue Bell, and Barbara A. DeChristopher of York; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by 13 siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Helena Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, PA. The Viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at church. Entombment will be in St. Matthew Mausoleum, Conshohocken.
