George S. McLean, 82, of Kissimmee Fla., passed away on Feb. 8, 2013. Along with his beloved wife of 57 years, Shirlee, he was a loving father to his daughters Kimberly Ann (Greg) Prowant, Downingtown, Pa., Robin L. McLean and Audrey E. McLean, Conshohocken, Pa., and a devoted grandfather to Holly Prowant and Christopher Prowant, Downingtown, Pa. He is also survived by his siblings Walter S. McLean Jr., Grass Valley, Calif., and Marion (Frank) Ward, Clearwater, Fla., as well as many nieces and nephews. Mr. McLean was born on June 19, 1930 to the late Walter S. Sr. and Florence E. McLean of Conshohocken, Pa. He was a graduate of the Williamson School of Media, Pa.
He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force
as well as serving in the Marine Reserves and was a Korean War
veteran. He retired for Metropolitan Contract Carpets of Cherry Hill, N.J. in 1989 and was a member of Carpenters Union Local #1823. Mr. McLean enjoyed woodworking, home remodeling and decorating, going to Disney World with his family and good friends. The family will receive relatives and friends on March 1, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home, 516 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 610-828-1336. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 County Line Road, Feasterville, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name can be sent to the Williamson School, 106 S.
