Harry F. Green Jr.(1928 - 2014)

Harry F. Green, Jr. 85, of Collegeville, PA, passed away on January 14, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Helen (Wagner) Green for 59 years. Harry was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 11, 1928 to the late Harry F., Sr. and Anna (Rogers) Green. He was a graduate of Upper Darby High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Harry worked in the investment industry for many years, starting with Merrill Lynch. In the 1980's, Harry opened his own company, HFG Investments. He was a longtime member and former Board of Governors representative of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, I.T.A. of Philadelphia, and was a charter season ticket holder with the Philadelphia Flyers. He was an avid Notre Dame fan and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. Along with his wife, Harry is survived by his six children: Patricia Sisson, Denise Buchanan (Butler), Barbara Hackenberry (Mark), Harry F. Green, III (Ellen), Timothy Green (Karen), Michele Walsh (Patrick); 13 grandchildren: Scott and Shannon Sisson, Jennifer, Laura, and Jeffrey Buchanan, Julia and Sam Hackenberry, Ann and Daniel Green, Ryan Green, Emma, Meredith and Audrey Walsh, many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Edward Green. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service on Monday January 20, 2014 at 11 AM at Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home, 951 E. Butler Pike, Ambler. A viewing will be Sunday evening from 5-8 PM, and Monday from 9:30AM - 11AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia.
