Joan A. Wilkie

Joan A. Wilkie (Alcorn) passed away peacefully on July 16, 2013 at age 77. Born in Philadelphia, she was the devoted daughter of Eleanor (White) Stein and John S. Alcorn Sr. and she resided in Ft. Washington, PA. She was the beloved mother of Christopher Wilkie of Phila. and Anne Freeman (Hunter) of Hayden, AL and was the cherished grandmother of Amanda (Mandy) Wilkie, Colt Freeman, Trevor Freeman and Travis Freeman. Joan will be greatly missed by her brother; John S. Alcorn Jr., devoted nieces, nephews and relatives. Joan was a schoolteacher and a school bus driver for children with developmental and cognitive disabilities. She was a life-long member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Joan will be remembered for her laugh and great sense of humor, and she loved to draw and cook. Relatives and friends are invited to Joan's Life Celebration at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 7020 Camp Hill Rd., Fort Washington, PA 19034 on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 2 P.M. followed by interment in the Church Cemetery.
