Joseph B. Cicala

Joseph B. "Bear" Cicala passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at Mercy Suburban Hospital in East Norriton, PA. He was 79. Mr. Cicala was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. He worked as a stone mason for the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local Union No. 1 of PA/DE and also for many area contractors. Joseph was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA. Mr. Cicala was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Born in Norristown, PA on August 30, 1933, he was the son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Manderachi) Cicala. He was the husband of the late Dawn A. (Place) Cicala, who died in 2005. Surviving is his loving family including a son, Joseph M. Cicala of King of Prussia, PA; a daughter, Lisa Zeltner and her husband, Tim, of Norristown, PA; two grandchildren, Tim and Alison; a sister, Mary Ciaccio of King of Prussia, PA; a step-brother, Anthony Cicala; a step-sister Nina Cicala of Norristown, PA; and many nephews and nieces. Relatives & friends are invited to Joseph's Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 10:00 am. His viewings will be Wednesday evening from 6 to 7:30 pm at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405; also Thursday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, West Norriton, PA.
