Stanley F. Podulka

Stanley F. Podulka, 71 of Worcester passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Einstein Montgomery Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Joanne (Marczak) Podulka. They had been married for 52 years. Born May 31, 1941 in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Walter and Josephine (Zygmont) Podulka. Mr. Podulka retired as a Chief Petty Office in The U.S. Navy serving over 30 combined years of active and reserve duty. After high school he was employed as a meat cutter. Then he apprenticed to become a journeyman tool and die maker. Later, Stan and his brother Ray owned their own automotive shop, Stray Automotive Inc., in Colmar for over 18 years. Most recently Stan was a financial advisor. He was also a long-time member of the Hatfield American Legion Post 933. In his spare time Stanley thoroughly enjoyed being a gentleman farmer, working in his vegetable garden and riding and fixing his tractor. He was famous for his strawberries and corn. He also took great pride in home maintenance and mechanical restoration projects of all kinds. Additionally, Stanley's favorite way to relax was to play his piano in the evenings. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Damon Podulka and his wife Sharon of Hatfield; his sister Genia Szczurek; and his brothers Richard Podulka and Raymond Podulka. He was predeceased by his daughter Dana Ryan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at 11:30 AM on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the R. L. Williams, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. Skippack Pike at Cedars Rd. Skippack, where friends may call for the viewing from 9:30-11:30AM.
