Walter A. Bovelle, age 81 of Conshohocken, died on Monday, March 24, 2014. He was born in Norristown on April 12, 1932 son of the late Herbert and Margaret (Frank) Bovell. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen (Donovan) Bovelle for 50 years. Walter was born and raised in Conshohocken attending Spring Mill Elementary School. He served honorably in the United States Army
as a Korean War
Combat Veteran from 1950-1953 receiving numerous medals and decorations for his service. He was employed by Alan Wood Steel, Keystone Coke, Colonial School District and Sague School Bus Company. Walter was a life member of Spring Mill Fire Company, where he donated his time and talents in various capacities including Fire Chief and Board Member. He was best known as a kind multitalented man dedicated to his family. Survived by: 3 sons, John A. Czop (Carol) of Blue Bell, Gregory Czop (Linda) of Rhode Island, and Michael Bovelle (Mary Ann) of Plymouth Meeting; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by: a son, Ronald (Joanne); 2 brothers, Herbert and Leslie; 2 sisters, Ruth Greene and Anna Bluemenauer. Relatives and friends may pay respects on Friday morning, March 28, from 8-11am with a service at 11am in the William A. Moore Funeral Home, 708 Fayette St., Conshohocken. Interment, George Washington Memorial Park in Plymouth Meeting. In lieu of flowers donations in Walter's memory may be made to Spring Mill Fire Co., 1210 E. Hector St., Conshohocken, PA 19428.
