Warren Shuman Sellers

Warren Shuman Sellers of Worcester, PA died on October 5, 2013 at his home of 17 years in Meadowood Retirement Community at the age of 92. He was born in Thompsontown, Juniata County, on December 19, 1920 son of the late Warren Sellers and Luella Shuman Sellers. He was husband to Mabel Ditter Sellers, formerly of Ambler, for 26 years at the time of her death. Warren attended Camp Hill High School followed by Washington & Jefferson College. He was a YMCA Executive Director for 25 years before moving on to be an Assistant Minister and then Minister of Visitation for Methodist Churches in Downingtown & Phoenixville. He retired in 1996. He served in the Army and Air Force during World War II from 1942-1945, NCO, European Theater. Warren was a member of Phoenixville United Methodist Church, a Mason, International Association of YMCA Retired Directors and Downingtown Rotary Club. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family, singing and playing tennis and table tennis. He is survived by his daughters Margaretta Sellers-Bruch of Kintnersville, PA and Miona Sellers of Fraser, PA. Warren was a kind and generous man with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. A memorial service will be held at Meadowood Retirement Community on Thursday October 10, 2013 at 7pm officiated by Pastor Lori Kozinski. Internment is private. Memorials may be sent to Phoenixville United Methodist Church.
