Alice Brown Obituary

Alice M. (Beatty) Brown, age 88 of Lafayette Hill, a retired school teacher, died on Sunday July 21, 2013. She was born in Philadelphia on November 9, 1924 daughter of the late William and Alice (Whealin) Beatty. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas C. Brown. Alice graduated Germantown High School Class of 1942. She then graduated Chestnut Hill College with a degree in education. She was an educator for 35 years in the Philadelphia School System. She was an avid sports fan who loved watching the Flyers and Phillies. Alice also enjoyed reading and trips to the Casinos. She is survived by: 2 daughters, Alice A. Donovan of Conshohocken and Susan M. (Robert) Mangler of Collegeville; 4 sons, Neil (Caroline) of Marlton, NJ, Thomas of Conshocken, William (Theresa) of Conshohocken and Christopher (Nicole) of Reading, PA; 17 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by 2 sisters, Helen Beatty and Anne Ransing. Relatives and friends may respects on Thursday morning, July 25, 2013 from 8:30-10am at the William A. Moore Funeral Home, 708 Fayette St., Conshohocken. A funeral mass will commence at 10:30am in St. Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill. Interment, Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Alice's memory may be made to: Keystone House, 8765 Stenton Ave., Wyndmoor, PA 19038.

My thoughts are with the entire Brown family for their loss of such a lovely woman. May she enjoy the peace of God that she now knows with family and friends that have passed before her.
