Anita Ruth Obituary

Anita V. (Abernethy) Ruth, age 90 of East Norriton, died Sunday, November 18, 2012 in Einstein Medical Center Montgomery of East Norriton. Wife of the late Robert H. Ruth.
Born in Bryn Mawr PA on October 4, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Cassidy) and Frederick B. Abernethy. Anita has lived in East Norriton for the last 24 years, formerly of Blue Bell and Bryn Mawr. She was raised on her father's 72 acre farm in Blue Bell.
Anita was a graduate of the Whitpain School and Bryn Mawr Nursing School. She was the Director of Nursing with Clara Burke Nursing Home, owner of Epicure Health Care in Plymouth Meeting. She was a member of St. Helena's RC Church.
She is survived by her sons, Logan Ruth (Evelyn Ortiz) of East Norriton and Robert (Lynn) Ruth of Hartford, WI. Also survived by three step grandchildren Helen Foley, Stasia Rieger, and AAron Rieger, three step great grandchildren , and nieces and nephews, Barbara Ann (& Jerome) Entenman, Susan (& Gino) Pellechio, Mark Griffing, Sandy Gavin as well as great nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sisters Mary Alice Smith,
Agnes Griffing, and Marguerite Ochnich.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 23rd at 10:30 AM from the St. Helena RC Church 1489 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell. Clergy: Msgr. Joseph J. Nicolo officiating.
Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Church.
Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
