Frances Calabrese DiMino

Frances Calabrese DiMino of Wayne, PA formerly of Norristown passed away peacefully on October 23, 2013. Beloved wife of Augustus, loving mother of Lorraine Cavitt and Glenn (Rebecca), devoted grandmother of Rebecca Cavitt Elias (Jami) and Amanda Cavitt and endearing great grandmother of Francesca and Vincenzo Cavitt and Blake Elias. Fran loved cooking, sewing, drawing, doll making, playing the organ and baking with her granddaughters. Most of all, Fran loved spending time with her family. Fran was 93 years old and born May 10, 1920, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Savona Calabrese. Frances is survived by her two sisters Virginia Gaeto (Anthony), Jeffersonville and Marie Constantine, King of Prussia and many numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her five sisters Martha Thompson, Leah Marchese, Ann Russo, Rosemary Mattiola and Victoria Spangenberg, and her three brothers; Richard, A. Joseph, and John Calabrese. After graduating from Norristown High School in 1938, Fran worked at Brewster's Aircraft, Bucks County; US Navy, Inspection Department, Norristown; The Veterans' Administration Department, Philadelphia as ASA Administrative Assistant in the Insurance Department; Valley Forge General Army Hospital, Norristown in the Treasury Department; Pathway School, Norristown as a Paraprofessional; and with The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit, Norristown as a Paraprofessional working in the Norristown Area School District and Colonial School District. Fran was a life member of the Norristown Catholic War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary, Post 1182.. Relative and friends are invited to share in Fran's Life Celebration on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at St. Isaac Jogues, 50 West Walker Road at Valley Forge Road, Wayne, PA 19087. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Interment will immediately follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Norristown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fran's memory to Paoli Hospital, 255 West Lancaster Avenue, Paoli, PA 19301.
