Virginia Jackson Obituary

Virginia A. "Ginny" (McCall) Jackson, 74, of Norristown, Pa., died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at Albert Einstein Medical Center of Philadelphia, Pa. Born in Norristown on Dec. 14, 1939, she was the daughter of the late William and Edith (Atkins) McCall.
Formerly of Conshohocken, Ginny had been living in Norristown for over 20 years. She worked as a shipping coordinator with Lukens Steel of Conshohocken, Pa. She was a former member of Junior Women's Club and Red Hat Society. She also enjoyed bowling and had played in a local bowling league.
She is survived by her son, Walter Gregory Jackson of Norristown; her daughters, Tracey Ann (& John) Singer of Philadelphia and Dana (& Ralph) Pettine of West Norriton; her brother, William McCall of Conshohocken; and five grandchildren, Ashley, Johnny, & Emily Singer, and Tyler & Kelsey Pettine, whom she adored.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Walter M. Jackson Jr.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home 300 Fayette St., Conshohocken. Clergy: The Rev. Richard A. Olson II officiating.
Friends may call on Wednesday evening Jan. 1, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. & Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, from 9:30-10:30 p.m. at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home 300 Fayette St., Conshohocken, Pa. Interment will be private in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
Contributions may be made in her memory to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 879, Hershey, PA 17033.
