David Bickerdyke Obituary

David Ryan Bickerdyke of Jeffersonville, PA died on Sunday, September 18, 2011 in Montgomery Hospital, Norristown. Mr. Bickerdyke was 67 years old and the loving husband of Peggy L. (Riggin) Bickerdyke. Born in Philadelphia on May 28, 1944, David Ryan had been employed as a chef before his retirement. He was a member of the Norristown Maenner-chor, enjoyed golfing, gardening, fishing and was a member of the Stony Creek Anglers Association. His children Mark (Lori) Bickerdyke of West Norriton, Denise (Jim) Selfinger of Birdsboro, Matthew (Joan) Bickerdyke of King of Prussia, and Melissa (John) Mudry of Jeffersonville also survives him along with 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, his brothers Robert Bickerdyke of Clementon, NJ and Howard Bickerdyke of Phoenix, AZ., his sister Lorraine O'Boyle of Hamburg, PA, and a stepsister Charlotte Geyer. A stepsister Virginia Sadowski preceded him in death. Relatives and friends are invited to share in David Ryan's "Life Celebration" on Thursday evening, September 22nd from 6-9 PM at the Boyd-Horrox Funeral Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike, (1-800-GIVNISH) and again on Friday at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM with funeral services at 11.
