Obituary Condolences

Dorothy M. Swan, age 84 of Lafayette Hill, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a retired Quality Assurance Representative for I.M.S. Mrs. Swan was born in Camden, NJ, the daughter of the late Glover and Mary Jacob Grier. Wife of the late William "Trevor" Swan who died in 1993. Mrs. Swan was a member of Saint Philip Neri Church in Lafayette Hill and was a member of their Phillipians Social Group, the Home and School Assn. and the Womens Guild. She also was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 14 Ladies Auxiliary. For many years she enjoyed volunteering at the Saint Joseph Villa in Flourtown. She was also an avid Phillies Fan. Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Joanne Connor (the late Bernie) of Paoli, Elizabeth Clements of Lafayette Hill, Rosanne Thorwarth of Oaks; two sons, William "Trevor" Swan (Darla) of West Virginia, and Charles "Chuck" Swan (Andrea) of Plymouth Meeting; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Diane and a son, Patrick. Friends may call Saturday, February 2nd from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in Saint Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be private at Calvary Cemetery, Contributions may be made to Saint Philip Neri Church School or Saint Joseph Villa, 110 Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031.
