Edward J. Muzyka Obituary
Edward J. Muzyka of Swedesburg Edward J. Muzyka, age 84, of Swedesburg, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Einstein Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John Muzyka and the late Mary Rejniak Muzyka and the husband of the late Blanche A. Frey Muzyka. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Ann Burke and her husband Thomas L. Burke, and his grand-daughters Evelyn Marie and Carolann Burke. Mr. Muzyka was a graduate of North Catholic High School in Philadelphia. In 1951, he joined the United States Army and fought in Korea, earning a Korean Service Medal. After serving our country, Mr. Muzyka worked as a printer for The Times Herald for over 30 years, until his retirement in 1993. He was a simple man, a member of Sacred Heart Church, and a life member of the Holy Name Society there. He enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and the Carribean and bus trips with other members of Sacred Heart Church. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Monday, June 16, 2014, 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson Street, Swedesburg, Pa., 19405, where they may call after 9 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to Einstein Montgomery Home Health & Hospice, 1330 Powell Street, Norristown, Pa., 19401.
