John J. Devlin, age 89, of Collegeville, PA and Brigantine, NJ passed away on October 3, 2012. |
Born in Philadelphia on September 9, 1923 he was the son of the late Abdus and Miriam Devlin.
John was a veteran of WWII serving in the Army. For most of his life he was a mechanic specializing in refrigeration.
After his retirement he was a school bus driver for the Methacton School District. He enjoyed golfing, pocket billiards, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Sarah (nee Ryan) Devlin, his children Rosemary (Charles) Devlin Loutey, John J. (A. Marie) Devlin, Thomas (Elaine) Devlin, grandchildren Timothy, Kevin, Michael, Alayna, Abigail, Staci and 7 great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his sisters Miriam Devlin, Marge Shepherdson, Franny Walsh, Eleanor Wittman.
Relatives and friends are invited to John's Life Celebration Wednesday October 10, 2012 at St. Eleanor Parish, 647 Locust St., Collegeville, PA from 9-10:20AM with his funeral Mass at 10:30AM.
