Mary A. (D'Ambrosia) Gilette passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. She was 93. Mrs. Gilette was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. She worked for Hosey's Yarnmill and retired from Sharps Pharmaceutical in Conshohocken, PA, at the age of 81. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA and the church's Sodality. She was also a member of the Swedesburg Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of Our Mother of Sorrows Mother's Guild. She enjoyed traveling, going to the casinos and crocheting. Mary's family was her heart and she loved spending time with them. Born in Bridgeport, PA on June 13, 1919, she was a daughter of the late James and Rosaria (Candello) D'Ambrosia. She was the wife of the late Alfonso E. Gilette, who died in 1995. Surviving is her loving family including 3 daughters: Frances M. Modica of Norristown, PA, RoseAnn Montalbano of Norristown, PA and Alberta V. Bird and her husband, Chris, of Royersford, PA; 6 grandchildren: Mary, Ken, Russell, Brandy, Amy and Michela; 17 great-grand-children; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Louise R. Lance of Bridgeport, PA; a brother-in-law, Louis Gilette; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, James D'Ambrosia; 3 sisters: Rose Patraw, Julia Gilette and Theresa Alessandrini; and 2 sons-in-law, Joseph R. Modica and Joseph Montalbano. Relatives & friends are invited to Mary's Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 10:00 am. Her viewings are Tuesday evening from 7 to 9:00 pm, at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA; also Wednesday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary's memory to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 and/or in the form of Mass cards. www.bacchifuneralhome.com
