Robert J. Finneran of West Chester passed away on Oct. 10, 2013, at Chester County Hospital. He was 81 years old. Born in Bridgeport, Pa., on Jan. 10, 1932, and was the son of the late Edward and Agnes (Hissner) Finneran.
Robert was a veteran, serving in the
U.S. Air Force
. In his earlier years, he worked at the former Allenwood Steel Co.. For the next 40 years, until his retirement, he operated a successful All State Insurance agency in Phoenixville. He was a member of Ss. Philip and James R.C. Church, and the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid Eagles fan and enjoyed his visits to the casino.
He was the beloved husband of Marie (Ruppe) Finneran and dear father of Michael J. (Katie) and Brian R. (Karen) Finneran, Colleen M. (Michael) Levering, and Kathleen T. (Stephen) McIntyre. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, Edward and Gerald Finneran, and his sisters, Margaret "Sis" Bangert and Claire Aman.
Relatives and friends invited to his visitation Mon. eve., 7-9 p.m. at the Logan Funeral Home, 698 East Lincoln Hwy. (at Ship Rd.), Exton, Pa.
On Tuesday, all are invited directly to Ss. Philip and James R.C. Church, 701 East Lincoln Hwy. (at Ship Rd.), Exton, Pa., for the visitation from 9:30-10:20 a.m. followed by funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Immediately following will be the burial at Calvary Cemetery.
