Victor A. "Vic" Focht, Jr., 82, of Lansdale and formerly of Norristown, passed away March 21, 2013 at his home in the Villas at Dock Woods. He was the beloved husband of Joan E. (Fitzgerald-Postell) Focht and the late Mary Jane (Young) Focht. Born in Norristown on November 2, 1930, he was the son of the late Victor A., Sr. and Edna (Koons) Focht. Vic proudly served his country in the Naval Air Reserves, and later worked on aircraft as a mechanic at the Willow Grove Naval Air Base. A retired machinist and model-shop supervisor, he was employed at Kulick and Sofa for over 30 years and during that time lived in West Point, PA. Vic was also an active member of the Central Schwenkfelder Church in Worcester. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed spending time with his family at his mountain home and took great pleasure in travelling the world with his wife Mary Jane, sharing the slides from their travels at the North Penn High School Travel Log. Vic was a lifetime member of Montgomery Hose Fire Company in Norristown and the West Point Volunteer Fire Company. A Mason with Shiloh Lodge #558 F&AM, Vic received his 50-year Masonic Award in 2011, and was a past president of High Twelve. Lastly, he was a member of the Rajah Temple in Reading, PA. In addition to his wife, Joan, he is survived by his daughters, Beverly Brue of Lexington, KY, and Linda Grisdale and her husband, Rich, of Lansdale; and his two grandsons, Kurt Wujcik of Denver, CO, and Aaron Brue, of Lexington, KY. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Vic's life with a service, 11 AM, Tuesday March 26, 2013 at the Central Schwenkfelder Church, 2111 Valley Forge Rd., Lansdale, PA 19446, where the family will greet relatives and friends from 10-10:45 AM. A brief masonic service will be held prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vic's memory to Caring Hospice, 400 Commerce Dr., Ste. C, Fort Washington, PA 19034, or to the Central Schwenkfelder Church Benevolent Fund, address above. Arrangements are by Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale.
