William P. Davis of Conshohocken, age 86, died Sunday, October 6, 2013 at his home. Husband of 68 years to Dorothy (Shaw) Davis. Born in Swedeland, PA on December 27, 1926, son of the late Grace (Bosler) and Joseph B. Davis. William has lived in Plymouth Twp. for over 50 years, formerly of Swedeland, Pa.He was a member of Conshohocken United Methodist Church of Conshohocken. He worked as a crane operator with Alan Wood Steel for over 20 years, and then as a Security Office at One Montgomery Plaza for 21 years before retiring. William was a member of Fritz Lodge F. & A. M. and a Life Member with Conshohocken Fire Co #2. He enjoyed camping and spending time down the Jersey Shore especially Sea Isle. In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he is survived by a daughter,Carol Ann Freese of Conshohocken; son,William R. Davis of West Conshohocken; sisters, Sara Henning of East Norriton, and Katherine Tirpak of Jeffersonville; 5 grandchildren, Richard Davis, Stacy Mabry, Shawn Freese, Angela Hendrick, & Valerie Leflar; 8 great grandchildren, Erica Davis, Michelle Davis, Billy Davis, Amber Freese, Courtney Garnett, Chase Leflar, Page Leflar, & Gavin Hendrick. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brother,s Robert & Gene Davis, & a sister Mildred Dolga. His Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 10:30 AM from the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken. Clergy: The Rev. Ricky Ayala officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home 300 Fayette Street Conshohocken. Interment will be private.
