Margery N. Tait Obituary
Margery N. (Tyson) Tait, 90, wife of Edwin C. Tait, MD, died Friday, February 7th, at Peter Becker Community, Franconia Twp. She was a former resident of Collegeville and Trappe. Mrs. Tait was born on December 2, 1923, in Collegeville, and was the only child of the late Howard P. and Helen (Neff) Tyson. She was a 1941 graduate of Collegeville - Trappe High School and a 1945 graduate of Bucknell University. Mrs. Tait was a member of Trinity Reformed Church, United Church Of Christ, where she sang in the choir and edited the church newsletter. She was a talented pianist and sang with the Ursinus College Chorus. She was a member of the Collegeville Needlework Guild and Collegeville Community Club. She volunteered with Meals On Wheels, the Girl Scouts, and as a reading tutor at the Perkiomen Valley South Elementary School. She also served on the first Collegeville recycling committee. In addition to her husband of 64 years, Mrs. Tait is survived by her children, Susan, wife of Richard Bennett, Greenville, SC, Helen Tait, Portland, OR, and Forbes, husband of Heidi (Reiss) Tait, Collegeville; her grandchildren, Jonathan, husband of Diana (Medlock) Bennett and Sarah Bennett, Andrew, husband of Becky (Wilde) Tait, and Lindsay (Tait), wife of Philip Bean; and her great-grandchildren, Andrew and Charlotte Tait. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, March 13, at Trinity Reformed Church, U.C.C. 532 E. Main St., Collegeville, with the Rev. Dr. Martha B. Kriebel, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be private in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to "PV Music Boosters-Financial Scholarship", c/o Perkiomen Valley Music Boosters, 509 Gravel Pike, Collegeville, PA 19426. Arrangements are by Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., Trappe.
