Mary L. (Ciaccio) D'Achille passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in King of Prussia, Pa. She was 84. Mary was a graduate of Norristown High School, Class of 1948. She worked for Villanova University for 25 years and the former National Liberty Insurance Co. Mary was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, Pa. and the Bridgeport Seniors Club, where she enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She loved cooking and baking and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed spending the winter months in Naples, Fla. |
Born in Norristown, Pa. on Feb. 10, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Ignazio "Harry" and Vincenza "Frances" (Santangelo) Ciaccio. Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 57 years, N. Frank D'Achille; three sons: Robert D. D'Achille, Sr. and his wife, Martha, of Douglassville, Pa., David M. D'Achille and his wife, Cheryl, of Collegeville, Pa. and Frank D. D'Achille of King of Prussia, Pa.; six grandchildren: Robert D., Jr., Darren F. (Angel), Andrew P. (Allysa), David M. Jr., Alexander R. and Danielle A.; four great-grandchildren: Braylon R., Eli T., Ava M. and Alexandria R.; a brother, Michael Ciacco and his wife, Grace, of Norristown, Pa.; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gasper; and two sisters, Frances Tuturice and Catherine Barbone.
Mary's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 9 to 10:20 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lower Merion Twp., Pa.
