Rose Rotondo Obituary
Rose Rotondo of Norristown Rose Rotondo, 97, of Norristown passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 27, 2014. She was born on January 1, 1917, and was the daughter of the late Jacob and Filippa (Diliberto) Muscanero. She was a former resident of Conshohocken, and for the last five years resided with her daughter Rose Ann and family in Norristown. Rose was the loving mother of Rose Ann (the late Palmer) DiFonzo and Michael (Elizabeth) Rotondo and the cherished grandmother of Michael (Christine), Robert, Damien (Kelly), Celena (Michael), and Mia, and great grandmother of Elizabeth, Dominic, Michael, Maria, Brendan, and Christian. She is survived by her sister Lena Fenimore, and many nieces and nephews. Rose is preceded in death by her siblings Faye Marco, Minnie McEvoy, Joseph, James, and Charles Muscanero. Rose was a hard worker and was employed by Lansdale Tubing, the infamous Wally's Steak Shop and Reed Toy Company. Rose also was a long time parishioner to St. Cosmas and Damian Church of Conshohocken. After her retirement, Rose volunteered at the thrift shop for the Senior Adult Activities Center of Montgomery County (SAAC) located on George Street, in Norristown, and was nominated as the volunteer of the year. For the last five years, Rose belonged to the Senior Adult Day Care, associated with (SAAC), where she was able to continue her active lifestyle, and received the best of care. Relatives and friends are invited to Rose's Life Celebration at Boyd-Horrox of Norristown, 200 W. Germantown Pike, on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 8-9:40 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at Visitation BVM Church. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
