Lena Quartuccio Obituary
Lena Quartuccio of Doylestown 2 Corinthians 5:7 says that; "Through our lives we live by faith and not by sight." After 96 years of deep faith and trust in God, on the morning of Friday July 18, 2014, Lena Quartuccio walked through the valley of the shadow of death and met her Savior. Lena's soul had risen like incense from the Doylestown Hospital to where there shall be no more death; neither shall there be any more pain. For, these former things have passed away. Lena was born in the late summer of 1917 to large farming family with whom she would spend her entire life. Lena held her faith dear and had been a dedicated and active parishioner of Holy Saviour Parish in Norristown during her early years and at St. John the Baptist Parish in Haycock, more recently. Lena had worked for over 40 years at American Olean Tile in Lansdale. She had devoutly prayed the rosary and will be fondly remembered as a gentle and kind hearted family woman who had a great sense of humor and a joyful and Godly spirit. Lena was the daughter of the late James & Mary (nee Lauro) Quartuccio. She was the sister of Gerald Quartuccio and Samuel Laurie as well as the late Mary Quartuccio, John J. Quartuccio, Stephen Quartuccio and Marie QuartuccioToto. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Quartuccio family to remember a humble daughter and sister, celebrate life through faith and pay tribute to Lena in a Life Celebration on Friday July 25th between 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Holy Saviour Church 407 E. Main St. Norristown where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Pastor, Msgr. Sangermano Celebrating. Interment and graveside tribute will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Norristown. Family care provided by Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home 200 W.
