Obituary Condolences

Elmer S. Allmond of Frederick, Pa., died Friday, March 11. He was 92.
Born in King William, VA, on March 28, 1918, Elmer has been living in Frederick, formerly of East Norriton and the Somerton Section of Philadelphia, Pa.
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Blue bell, Pa, where he was been a member since the 1940s, and he was very active and a former Sexton, served on the Board of Trustees and sang in the choir. He was self-employed mechanical engineer with Allmond Brothers of Feasterville, Pa., until he retired in 1992 and formerly worked with Mobile Industrial Equipment of Philadelphia, Pa. He was a U.S. Army veteran where he served with the 5th Army in Italy.
He enjoyed camping, gardening, painting, crafts, music, and was great at fixing everything. He was best known for his kind, gracious, and gentle personality and he always had a smile.
He was predeceased by his wife, Samentha B. (Dungee) Allmond, his parents, Lucian and Lora (Stewart) Allmond, a daughter, two sisters and four brothers.
He is survived by two sons: Robert (Linda) Allmond of Blue Bell, Pa., and Daniel K. (Leasa) Allmond of Indiana; a daughter Cynthia (Edward) Dunne of Coatesville, Pa., four brothers: Milton of Glen Allen, Va., Richard of Richmond, Va., James of Tampa, Fla., and Floyd Allmond of King William, Va.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren
His funeral service will be held Thursday, March 17 at 11 a.m. from the Grace Baptist Church of Blue Bell, 437 Skippack Pike and Lewis Lane, with the Rev. Ken Maahs officiating.
Friends may call Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Abington Township.
