Warren N. Grimes, age 73, died Thursday, September 8, 2011 at his home in North Wales. He was born on April 3, 1938 in Penllyn, PA, son of the late Nathaniel and Pearline (Tate) Grimes. He attended school in Ambler and North Wales. A truck driver by trade, Mr. Grimes worked for the former Pelleggi Trucking Co. and also Alan Myers Construction Co in addition to operating his own trucking company. for 15 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Penllyn. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jacqueline Grimes (Golston); two daughters, Michelle Chavorria (MacArthur) of Lansdale, and Tammy Brown (Mark) of East Norriton; two sons, Warren Grimes (Amy) of Lansdale, and Lamar Epps of Norristown; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; two sisters, Paulette Lewis of Hatfield and Rosalind Davis of Lansdale; two brothers, Arnold Grimes of Philadelphia and Frederick Grims (Diane) of Upper Dublin; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia; and two brothers, Ray and David. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 16 at 11 a.m. at The Bethlehem Baptist Church, Penllyn Pike and Dager Road in Springhouse. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by Richard C. Johnson, Jr. Funeral Home Inc. of Norristown.
