Eleanor Raymond Obituary
Eleanor Interrante Raymond, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, left us this morning, December 4, 2012. She passed away at her daughter's home in Charlotte, NC, after a long illness. She is now at peace. She was born on May 13, 1922 and raised in the Norristown East End, graduated with the Norristown High School class of 1940. Eleanor is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, George F. Raymond, for whom she awaited return from World War II, and with whom she heard the big bands play at Sunnybrook in earlier times. Together they raised a family in Norristown, where she kept a beautiful home and a warm kitchen. All were welcome; all wanted to be there. She was predeceased by her parents Josephine Cicala and Charles Interrante, by her brothers Joseph, Gus and Benjamin, and by her sister Florence Interrante Wolf. She is survived by her younger brother Vincent Interrante, of Marina, CA, by her daughters MaryEllen Raymond Wypyszinski of Charlotte, NC and Joanne Raymond of Seattle, son-in-law Alex Wypyszinski, by grandchildren Peter, Christina, Zachary, Mose and Kate, by nine great-grandchildren across the United States, and by many nieces and nephews. Condolences may be sent to George Raymond, 1643 Medford Drive, Charlotte, NC 28205. In lieu of flowers please send donations to your local Hospice Program in Eleanor's name. Eleanor Raymond is also survived by the memory of her smile and the warm embrace of her family, who will always remember her.
