Dolores Conseal Ecock Obituary
Dolores Conseal Ecock, 78, formerly of Plymouth Meeting, began her journey to heaven in the arms of her loving family on January 25, 2014 in Jensen Beach, FL where she had lived since 2010. She was a devoted wife for 52 years to R. "Frank" Ecock until his death in 2011, beloved mother of Pam and Tony, adored nana to Griffin, Beckett and Paxton, and cherished mother-in-law to Chris and Laura. Dolores was born in Norristown to the late Anthony and Helen Conseal who operated a small grocery store in Black Horse for many years. She graduated from Norristown High School and received a B.S. in Pharmacy with honors from Duquesne University. She met Frank upon starting work at his father's Gateway Pharmacy in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania and they were married soon thereafter. Dolores gladly gave up her career as a pharmacist to focus on her children and support Frank's demanding career at Merck. She had many lifelong friends and was known for her selfless, loving nature and sharp wit. Friends say they could tell her anything and count on her to listen patiently and provide helpful, entertaining advice. She was an excellent cook and connoisseur of the wonderful foods and restaurants of Norristown. In her later years, Dolores became known for her indomitable spirit while overcoming several serious illnesses. She was someone who would focus more on a grandchild's bad day at school than on her own battles with cancer. A memorial service will be held in the Norristown area in May. Dolores was a generous supporter of many causes so the family requests donations in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Attn: Tribute Program 35242004, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148. God bless and take care of you, we miss you terribly but are glad that you are no longer suffering and joining Daddy in heaven.
