Bennie F. Rapacon, 65, passed away unexpectedly at home. He was raised in Vallejo and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a proud recipient of a Purple Heart. Bennie worked on Mare Island as an insulator and union rep for many years. He relocated to Lassen County in 1995, where he retired from Sierra Army Depot in 2012.
Bennie is survived by his wife, Regina; brother, Chris (Rita); sister, Leslie; sons, Bennie II (Michelle) and Richard; daughters, Talayna, Amanda and Misty; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 4 p.m., on Saturday, May 10, at the Vallejo Elks Lodge, 2850 Redwood Pkwy in Vallejo. Please bring a dish and lots of stories to share for this friends and family event.

My condolences to The Rapacon Family. It had been years since Bennie and I talked but I was greatly saddened by this news.I think back of the good times that were had in the Friday Night Men's league at Kentwig Lanes back in the '70's and '80's.I was on a different team but I remember he and his brother Chris and Herb on the Kajukenbo Five Team.Travel Well Bennie, The world is now short one good man.
