Lifelong resident of Vallejo, Ralph R. Jorgensen passed away on March 24, 2013. He was born January 31, 1940, the only son of Ralph A. Jorgensen and Genevieve Mae Gibbello Jorgensen, both of Napa. Rod served in the US Army during the Korean War and earned a Sharpshooter Badge. A graduate of USF, he had a long career as a Mechanical Engineer at Mare Island Naval Shipyard, retiring upon its closing. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating, fishing, golf and hunting with friends. His beloved German Shorthaired Pointers were constant companions. A private memorial service will be held. He will be interred at the Sacramento Valley National VA Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Neptune Society (707-422-4900).

I worked with Ralph at Mare Island in design but most importantly Ralph taught me how to pheasant hunt with German Short Hair Pointers. Ralph was a really great guy that truly loved his German Shorthairs. I will be looking for you in the fields. God Bless Ralph!
