I will always remember Mr. Jacobson as my favorite teacher. I really enjoyed his chemistry class in high school. Later I had the pleasure of taking a Botany class at Vallejo Jr. College that was also taught by Mr. Jacobson. He was a great teacher. It was because of Mr. Jacobson that I majored in Chemistry in college.

Thank you Jake

Mr. Jacobson was one of the finest and surely among the most dedicated educators ever to grace the halls of Vallejo's schools. Through wisdom, a droll sense of humor and excellent teaching skills he encouraged all his students to achieve their maximum potential, whether science majors or not. Though it has been over fifty years since I sat in his chemistry class at Vallejo Sr. High, he remains one of my most memorable and favorite instructors; one who held us to a higher standard, yet at the same time made the learning process enjoyable and rewarding. An amazing man!

With heartfelt sympathy and condolences to his family.

Aloha Mr. Jacobson; I had fond memories of his chemistry class at Vallejo High School. He was not only a good teacher but also a giver of sound advice. My parents also knew his wife who worked at Kaiser Hospital. Mahalo Larry Karinen

I'm so sorry to read of Mr. Jacobson's passing. He was an outstanding science professor who brought wit, kindness and pleasure to all who had the opportunity to sit in his class. I'll never forget the bug hunts that Mr. Jacobson encouraged as class projects and how many of us were determined to impress Mr. Jacobson by the exotic bugs we "found" under local rocks that we purchased from outlets that specialized in bugs from around the world...
