Dec. 31, 1942 - Feb. 28, 2015 Leofredo A. "Alley Cat" Alarcon, 72, passed away Feb. 28 at Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo following a brief illness. A Catholic Prayer Service with Military Honors will be held Friday, April 17 at 11 a.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel at All Souls Cemetery, 550 Glen Cove Road, Vallejo with Fr. Alfredo Tamayo officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, from 12 to 9 p.m., with 7 p.m., vigil, at Skyview Funeral Chapel, 200 Rollingwood Drive, Vallejo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 18, at 10 a.m., at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, 475 E. I Street, Benicia. Barron, Frances May "Frankie" - Vallejo  
July 4, 1929 - April 12, 2015 Frankie M. Barron, 85, of American Canyon, passed away on Sunday, April 12. Born in Quinton, OK. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Roy" Barron in 2011 and sister, Sammy in 2014. Survived by her sons, Marvin (Pat) Barron, Michael (Debra) Barron; daughters, Jennifer Vaughn and Evelyn Mahoney several grandchildren and great grandchildren She volunteered with the Girl Scouts, voting poles, and the American Cancer Society. Memorial service will be held on Monday, April 20, at 11 a.m., at Skyview Garden Chapel, 200 Rollingwood Drive, Vallejo. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Skyview Memorial Lawn, 707-644-7474.

Barry Jr., Benjamin - Vallejo  
Oct. 9, 1929 - April 12, 2015 Benjamin Barry, Jr., son of the late Benjamin Barry, Sr. and Anna Mouton Barry, passed away April 12, in Concord, CA. Born on Oct. 9, 1929 in Beaumont, TX. Mr. Barry was an only child who grew up on the family farm and graduated from Hebert High School. In 1951 he enlisted in the U.S. Army to join his fellow Americans in the Korean War conflict. Mr. Barry was awarded an Honorable Discharge from the US Army in 1953. After the War, Mr. Barry became a Merchant Marine and during his years as a Merchant Marine, he traveled extensively around the World. For 40 years he was a highly esteemed resident of Honolulu, Hawaii and The Marshall Islands. Mr. Barry loved swimming, deep sea fishing, any other type of fishing, snorkeling, martial arts and family. He passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years young and we feel blessed to have had him in our lives for so long. Mr. Barry leaves to mourn, his children, Anna Barry Whitney, Frances Barry Cohen, Daisy M. Barry, Anna M. Barry, Geoffrey Barry, Titus Barry, Wheaton Barry; grandchildren; great grandchildren, family and friends in far flung places! The family will have a private service and internment on April 21, at The Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA.

Blanco, Zeferina Caro - Vallejo  
Aug. 26, 1929 - April 3, 2015 Vilina "Mama Nina" passed away on Good Friday surrounded by her 12 children, in Ameca, Jal. Mexico. She was buried on Easter Sunday. Mass was officiated by Monsegnior Ramiro Valdez. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jose R. Blanco. She also leaves to mourn her passing 28 grandchildren, over 20 great grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends. Our mother was loved and highly respected by so many people. She touched many lives with her generousity, kindness, compassion, and unselfishness, but mainly through her faith in God and her daily prayers. We will always carry her in our hearts and remember her as one of the greatest human beings we had the privilege to be born to and know. Words cannot express the sorrow we feel for our loss, but at the same time the joy in knowing that she is in heaven, at rest, and finally at peace.

Buehler, Viktor - Fairfield  
Aug. 1, 1937 March 31, 2015 Army National Guard Veteran Viktor Buehler, 77, of Fairfield passed away on March 31, with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer and diabetes. Viktor was born on Aug. 1, 1937, in Ukraine, immigrated to the United States in 1952 and ultimately became a longtime resident of both Vallejo and Fairfield. He served six years in the US Army and National Guard, and worked at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard 36 years retiring as a Nuclear General Foreman. Viktor will be profoundly missed by all who loved and knew him. He is survived by his wife, Shari of 55 years; sons, Craig, Eric and Brian; daughters-in-law, Portia, Robin; grandchildren, Viktoria Jeremiah, Vincent, Brian Jr., Ericka, Josh; and great grandchildren Kolton and Griffin Jeremiah. A celebration of Viktor's life will be held at the Rockville Bible Church, 720 Link Road, Fairfield, 864-6602, on April 16, at 2 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home (707) 425-4697. Costa Sr., Louis "Louie" - Vallejo  
Dec. 31, 1926 - April 3, 2015 Louis L. Costa, Sr., 88, of Carson City, passed away on April 3, from Leukemia. Louis was born to George and Alicia Costa on Dec. 31, 1926 in Benicia. Louie was a 1944 graduate of Vallejo High School. He was a former parts manager for Broadway Toyota in Oakland, and Toyota of Vallejo. Louis was a member of the Carson City Raiders Booster Club, and the Loyal Order of the Moose, Vallejo Lodge No. 468. Louie was a fantastic father and friend who will be dearly missed. His sense of humor was second to none. He was a very fun-loving person who was full of wit, endless compassion and humor that made people feel very welcome and comfortable while around him. His smile will be in our hearts forever. "Sail on, Old Fart". Louie is survived by his son, Louis L. (Gwen) Costa, Jr. of Vallejo; daughters, Rhonda (Gary) Buckley of Stagecoach, NV, Martha Thompson of Vallejo, Kathy (J.R.) Giafrancisco of Chino Valley, AZ, Christine Redding, and son, Larry Redding of Las Vegas. He is also survived by his sister, Georgia "Tiny" Hardin, Oroville, CA.; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchidren. Louie was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo E. Costa in 2007, and son, Glenn "Dusty" Costa on Jan. 23, 2015. Services for Louie will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 15 at Walton's Funeral Home, 1281 N. Roop St., Carson City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vallejo Naval Historical Museum, 734 Marin St., Vallejo. Louie's "Larger than Life" Celebration will be held after the service at the Elk's Lodge, 515 N. Nevada St., Carson City.
