Chew, Ming Chun "Jean" - Bakersfield  
Dec. 15, 1931 - March 11, 2015 Ming Chun "Jean" Chew peacefully went home to the Lord Jesus Christ after a two week hospice with children and friend at her side. Born in Toysan, China, she married U.S. Army WW II Vet, Tony Chew in 1955 and moved to Vallejo where she contributed to the tax base as a seamstress, waitress, and machinist helper at Mare Island from where she retired in 1982. She is survived by daughters, Yuk Mei Liang, Yuk Han "Judy" Chin, Yuk Wah "Doreen" Chew; son, Bak Hong "Doug" Leong; nieces, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dear friends. If family or friends wish to send flowers, please instead, consider a charitable donation to the Vallejo Chinese Christian Church, 2025 Sonoma Blvd., Vallejo, CA 94590, which has been her local church since 1965. Thank you all for your lifelong love and friendship during these past 60+ years. She will miss us all for awhile and looks forward to seeing us all again in the near future.

Clerici, Lorraine Frances Guerra - Rocklin  
Jan. 25, 1930 - March 4, 2015 Lorraine went peacefully to God, after a long battle with dementia, with her loving son Steve at her side. She was born Jan. 25, 1930 to Rene Raymond Guerra and Phyllis Muriel Grover in Oakland, CA. She was married on Nov. 18, 1951 to Joseph Carlo Clerici. They lived in Vallejo, where Lorraine and Joe began their family. Joe started building their new dream home in Napa Junction (American Canyon) where they settled in 1964. Joe's career excelled while Lorraine began care of their two boys, Steven and David. In 1982 Joe retired from his job at Mare Island. After that they traveled the world with over 16 trips including three to Italy. They really enjoyed being together and enjoyed every minute. Lorraine was known for sharing her life, home, fabulous cooking and entertaining. In 2008 Joe placed her in Green Hills Care Home. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents; her son David in 1985 and her husband Joe of over 64 years of marriage in 2009. She is survived by her son, Steve and wife, MaryAnn and many loving family and friends. Special thanks to Napa Valley Hospice for their service and care. Her Celebration of Life will be Saturday, April 4 at 1 p.m., at the Tulocay Cemetery at 411 Coombsville Road, Napa, All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, please consider a charitable donation to her home at Green Hills Care Home, 115 Thayer Way, American Canyon, CA 94503 where they treated her as family and loved her. I will never forget their kindness. God Bless you All.

Coburn, Alfred Charles - Austin  
May 8, 1924 - Feb. 20, 2015 Alfred Charles Coburn of Austin, AR, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 20. Al was born in Geyersville, CA on May 8, 1924 to the late Earnest and Ethel Coburn. Al was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Faye. He is survived by sons, Chuck of Austin, AR, James of Victoria, TX, their wives, Sharon and Juli; brothers, Bob of Harrisburg, IL, Ernie of Eugene OR; sisters, Elsie Northen of Napa, Lois Berry of Visalia; four grandchildren, Jeff, Jared, Carrie, Jenny; 10 great grandchildren, Kayla, Wyatt, Raelyn, Maddie, Clay, Kamryn, Josie, Jordyn, Blaine, and Logan. Al was a long time member of the Church of Christ. He and his wife were members in several congregations where Al served as a Minister, Deacon and twice as an Elder. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 28, at 11 a.m., at the Lassen Street Church of Christ, Vallejo. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Tanzanian Missionary work of David and Jenna Reese through the Church of Christ, Lassen Street, Vallejo.

Crews Sr., Irvin A. - Vacaville  
June 8, 1932 - March 13, 2015 Irvin A. Crews, Sr. or "Crews", passed away on Friday, March 13 at his home in Vallejo. He was born in Henderson, NC and was the oldest of seven children. He enlisted in the USAF in 1952 and retired in 1975. He then worked for the City of Vallejo until he retired in 1993. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. Crews is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary E. Crews; his son, Irvin A. Crews, Jr.; daughter, Rosetta M. Crews; brothers, Nathaniel Theodore and Melvin Crews; sister, Mildred Winbush, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Graveside service will be held Thursday, March 26, at 1 p.m., Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon.
