Bonita Louise Dimataris
Bonita "Bonnie" Dimataris passed away suddenly on April 16, 2013, at Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa. Born September 23, 1938 in Bremerton, Washington, Bonnie was a longtime resident of Napa and enjoyed needlepoint, sewing, and travel. She worked as a loan officer for Bank of America in Vallejo and St. Helena for more than 20 years. Upon her retirement, Bonnie spent many years traveling the world to tropical and fascinating destinations including Australia, Central America, Europe, the Caribbean, and South America.
Upon graduating from Vallejo High School and attending Vallejo Junior College, in 1958 Bonnie married her first husband, Edward P. Craft, Sr. From that union, survivors include sons Edward "Skip" Craft, Jr. (Dianne), John Craft (Karen), and Mark Craft (Brenda); grandchildren, Rebecca, Amanda, Christopher and Kayla; sister, Roberta Grubbe, and brother, Lawrence Sump.
She is also survived by her loving husband of 33 years, John Dimataris, and will be dearly missed by stepson James Dimataris (Brenda), stepdaughter Joanne Hall (Tom), step-grandsons Alex and Stefan, Matthew, Christopher, John Michael and their wives, and step-granddaughter Sarah. She was preceded in death by her parents Allen and Effie Sump and her brother Leslie Sump.
A memorial service is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013 in the Tulocay Chapel at 411 Coombsville Road in Napa. Memories and words of sympathy may be shared with the family on-line at www.tulocaycemetery.org.
