Dallas Thomas Hardy, Jr. was born on April 12, 1925 in East Point, Ga., to Dallas and Inez Hardy. He lived in the Fairfield and Vacaville area for many years and was retired from the civil service at Travis Air Force Base. He also owned a local dress shop and beauty salons in the Fairfield area.
After his retirement from the civil service, he owned and operated Gum Tree Ranch Stables in Vacaville until 1997.
He leaves behind his wife, Vickie, and his children: Catherine Hardy (Jerry Lipkin), Dallas T. Hardy III (Penny Hardy), Michael Hardy (Laneia Hardy), Kelley Sullivan (Michael Sullivan) and Samantha Wallace (Chip Wallace). He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Dianne Bradshaw; and by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, at the Bryan-Braker Funeral Home in Fairfield. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 W. Texas St., Fairfield.
