Dan Abraham

Dan B. "Abe" Abraham, born May 19, 1923 on a farm in Western Oregon near Forest Grove, died Feb. 26, at home in San Rafael, CA.
Dan, 89, is survived by his wife, Virginia Susan Abraham of San Rafael; daughter, Catherine Ann Brewer of Des Moines, WA; daughter, Cynthia Helen Beecher of Healdsburg, CA; son, Dan James Abraham of Seattle, WA; and daughter, Mary Enbom of Greenbrae, CA. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He graduated from Franklin High School in Portland, OR, in 1941. He served in Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946, and graduated from Oregon State College School of Forestry in 1950.
Dan worked for the U.S. Forest Service from 1942 to 1978. He served on nine national forests and two regional offices in Oregon, Washington and California. He retired in 1978 as Forest Supervisor of the Klamath National Forest in Yreka, CA. He worked as a legal assistant from 1982 to 1990 for the law office of Robert Ingram in San Rafael. He did volunteer work for the Marin County Open Space District for more than 20 years with an emphasis on the Sun Valley Area.
