Edward "Dodo" Soriano

Ed passed away on Saturday, Jan. 12. Ed was born on August 15, 1940 in Sierra Vista, Arizona, where he was one of 12 children to Samuel and Josephine Soriano. He was a proud veteran of four years in the United States Marine Corps. He then worked in construction for 15 years, followed by 20 years as an inspector for the City of Vallejo. Ed's biggest interests were his kids and grandkids, and he was happiest when surrounded by family, including his wife of over 50 years, their three children, seven grandchildren, and several extended family members. His Faith was strong and was a significant component of his character. He enjoyed keeping active and living vibrantly. He was generous, energetic, and always eager to engage in conversation.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Josephine, as well as seven of his siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Soriano; daughters, Reneé (David) Palagi and Stephanie (Robert) Gonzales; son, Tony Soriano; grandchildren, Megan, Chad, and Amy Palagi; Kayleigh, Brendan, and Nikolas Soriano; and Pilar Gonzales; brothers, Rey (Judy) Soriano, and Robert (Linda) Soriano; sisters, Norma (Junior) Gutierrez, Liz (Bill) Abril, and Helen Soriano; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ed's Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m., at "New Location" Crosswalk Community Church, 2590 1st St., Napa, CA.
