Gloria Kathryn Bragg McAdams, educator and community volunteer, died April 5, 2013, at the age of 90 after a short illness.
Gloria was born June 7, 1922 in San Francisco, the daughter of Marguerite C. and Roy C. Bragg. As a Navy wife, Gloria moved across the globe raising her family in Massachusetts, Virginia, Washington DC, Hawaii and France. After returning to her hometown, Gloria taught kindergarten through third grade with Vallejo City Unified School District for 20 years until her retirement in 1989. She enjoyed the students, families and staff of Steffan Manor, Federal Terrace, Cave and Pennycook Elementary Schools.
Gloria's productive retirement was spent traveling, golfing, acrylic painting and volunteering with Sutter Solano Medical Center Guild, Vallejo Symphony League, College Women's Club of Vallejo, Mare Island Historic Park Foundation, Catholic Social Services, St. Catherine of Siena Church and St. Basil the Great Church Altar Society.
