Macy LaVerne Swift

July 15, 1950 - Feb. 25, 2013
On Feb. 25, surrounded by her loved ones, Macy LaVerne Swift passed into glory. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on July 15, 1950 to Ollie J. and Bessie Pearl Allen. The family moved to Vallejo, in the late 1950's where Macy attended Everett Elementary School, Solano Junior High School and Vallejo Senior High. In 1968, Macy married her high school sweetheart Norman Pierre Swift. Macy worked at Napa State Hospital for many years and ended her career in private home care in which she truly enjoyed.
Macy was predeceased by her husband Norman Swift. She was also predeceased by parents (Sherely Davis); her sister, Ora Roper; sister-in-law, Aurilla Swift and brother Larry Davis; brother-in-law, Lawrence (Dr. Link) Neal.
Macy is survived by her five children, Davida Greer, Norman Pierre Swift Jr. (Sanpaulia), Ronda Haywood, Marcel Swift and Maya Scott-Freeman; a host of grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews and God children;   brothers, Ollie J. Allen III, Waverly Allen, Bruce Allen (LaShawn), Osby Davis (Terrye), Charles Davis and Arthur Swift Jr; sisters, DeBorah Neal, Shirley Lake (Brian), and Diana Davis. 
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 1 p.m., Benicia Historical Museum, Stone Hall and Spenger Garden, 2060 Camel Road, Benicia, CA 94510.
