Reynold F. Cecchini

Reynold F. Cecchini, 88, passed away Friday following a long illness.
Mr. Cecchini was born to Frank and Mary Cecchini on Sept. 4, 1924 in Ione, CA., and has lived in Vallejo most of his life.
He served our country in the U.S. Army during WWII and worked on Mare Island Naval Shipyard for 49 years.
He was a longtime member and past Governor of the Vallejo Moose Lodge #468.
He was also a Little League Baseball coach for several years at East Vallejo Little League and was an avid fan of both the San Francisco Giants and 49ers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Auggie.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary; daughters, Shawn Cecchini, Kathleen (Jim) Kelly, and Susan (Mark) Carkin; sons, Patrick, Timothy and David (Betty) Cecchini; grandchildren, Timothy Jr. (Amanda) Cecchini, Kacie (Michael) Bivin, and Jesse Cecchini; and nephew, Gary Cecchini.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, with vigil services at 7 p.m., Thursday, at Twin Chapels Mortuary, 1100 Tennessee St., Vallejo.
A Catholic prayer service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 16, also at Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo.
Burial will be private at Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery, Dixon.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kaner and his staff from Vallejo Kaiser for taking such good care of their loved one over the past several years.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are preferred to the in memory of Reynold F. Cecchini.
