July 31, 1949 - Oct. 19, 2013
Steve Cirimele passed away peacefully at home with his life's love, Delvita, at his side. He was 64. Steve was born in Vallejo to Frank and Elsa Cirimele and attended Vallejo Jr. High and Vallejo Sr. High, graduating in 1967. He went on to graduate from Solano College in 1969 and from the University of the Pacific with a business degree in 1971. Post graduation, Steve entered banking and worked for BofA, Napa Valley Bank and Crocker Bank before retiring in 1992. Steve has been a Benicia resident since 1980. Steve was a triple transplant patient and battled kidney disease for the last 20 years.
He was kind of heart and generous to those he called friends; serving as an inspiration to all of us while he displayed strength of character and courage until his final day. Quick to laugh and slow to criticize, Steve had an exceptional ability to always make others comfortable, even through the most trying of times.
Perhaps his greatest gift was as a mentor and role model for his younger brother, Tom. Steve will be missed by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elsa Cirimele in 2006.
He is survived by his brother, Tom, Delvita Hoover, her children, Steve, Randy, Danny and Michael and grandchildren, Steven, Aaron, Natalie, Tristan, Veronica and Zachary; many cousins, Joe Cirimele of Benicia and Kitty Brevig of Vallejo, Nancy Devlin of Napa, Patricia Fairchild of Cupertino, Jane Lessard, Cathy Gamba and Ann Reeder of Vallejo, and Liz Nawojski of San Diego.
Memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Friday at Twin Chapels Mortuary, 1100 Tennessee St., Vallejo. Inurnment will be private.
