Maria Rosina Benel, 49, passed away Christmas Eve in her home following a brief illness. She was born in Peru and has lived in Vallejo and worked as a daycare provider for the past 11 years.
Maria is survived by her husband, Angel; son, Jim Jhonatan Ventura Benel; daughters, Melissa Ventura Benel and Meilyn Ventura Benel; her father, Eleodoro Benel; her sisters, Pilar, Juana, Amalia and May; her brothers, Max, Fidel, Armando, Javier, Ricardo and Rafael; and the family dog, Reeki.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel, Benicia. Burial will follow in the Benicia Cemetery. Visitation at the mortuary will be held today, Dec. 29, from 6 to 9 p.m.
