Frank R. "Bud" Tucker, 79, passed away Saturday at his home. He was born in L.A. County and had been a Benicia resident for over 40 years. He was a Machinist for more than 40 years, retiring in 1995.
Bud was a veteran of the
and former owner of Bay Breeze, a kite store on First Street in Benicia during the 1990's. He and his wife were very instrumental in the creation of the First Street Green at the foot of First Street.
Bud and his family had a wonderful life enjoying, NASCAR, fishing, boating, golf, water skiing, horses and traveling in their RV and watching their grandson, Dustin play Little League Baseball with the Reds.
He battled cancer for two years until he peacefully went to sleep with his family by his side. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends, but will be forever in their hearts.
Bud is survived by Pat, his wife of 56 years; daughters, Vikki Tucker and Catherine Tucker Wolfe and grandchildren, Dustin Farnsworth and Katelyn Wolfe.
At his request, no services will be held. Family prefers donations be made to Sutter Solano Medical Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Passalacqua Funeral Chapel, Benicia.
