Patricia Jane Parodi, 81, passed away on Sunday morning at her home in Vallejo alongside the comfort and love of her family following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Virgil Parodi, earlier this year.
Patricia is survived by her immediate family, Suzi Hersom and her husband Tracy Hersom of Napa, Patti Parodi of Napa, Thomas Parodi and his wife Julie Parodi of Fairfield, Terri Parodi of Napa, Jack Parodi of Napa, and her grandchildren, Nicolas Tambornini, Ryan Parodi, Ashley Parodi, Chris Parodi, Kim Levaux, and her husband Hugh Levaux; great grandchildren, Eric Levaux, Roger Levaux, and Lena Levaux.
Patricia was born to William and Bridget Peddle in Lake Forrest, Illinois on March 17, 1932. Patricia lived and grew up in Lake Forrest. She attended St. Mary's Catholic grade school and graduated from Lake Forrest High School.
Patricia met Virgil Parodi of St. Helena, California, while he was serving in the U.S. Navy stationed at Great Lakes, Illinois. Patricia and Virgil were married in Illinois in 1958. Patricia and Virgil settled into their home in Vallejo in 1970 where they raised and enjoyed their family until their passing.
Patricia worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard until her retirement in 1994. Patricia celebrated her Catholic religion and Irish heritage throughout her life. She enjoyed bowling, coaching bowling, and was completely devoted to her family. She loved attending all of her children and grandchildren's sporting activities. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at St. Vincent's Catholic Church, 925 Sacramento St., Vallejo. A reception will follow.
