Antoinette Frances Perriera "Miss Nina" was born in Palermo, Sicily July 2, 1929 and she passed away on Jan. 28, in Napa. Nina came to this country when she was 12 years old where she resided in Brooklyn, New York. When her oldest son joined the Navy she followed him to Vallejo, where she resided for some 40 years. Nina's last residence was in Calistoga. Nina worked at Castlewood Christian School, in Vallejo for six years as a cook/Teacher Aide/ and Daycare worker. She also was a Chef at the Vallejo Retirement Center for 15 years. And, her last employment was at Kings Valley Christian School in Concord, where she worked as a Teacher Aide for 10 years. Nina is survived by two sons, Vincent Salmeri of Arizona, and Peter Salmeri of California; her grandchildren, Aron, Gino, Peter Jr. and Justine Brazil; her great grandchildren, Lyric, Bethany, Gino Jr., Sophia, and her extended family, Melody Nichols, Paul Nichols, and Linda Norton. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 10 a.m. Viewing at 9:15 a.m. prior to service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2102 Grant St., Calistoga. Funeral services are entrusted with Morrison Funeral Chapel, St. Helena, CA.
