Charles Paquette, 90, of Vallejo, also known as "Cap" passed away Friday, Jan. 4, at his home of a brief illness. Charles was born in Oakland, CA.
Mr. Paquette was a
Veteran. He was employed as a Machinist at Mare Island Naval Shipyard for 38 years. Charles was a member of the
, enjoyed fishing, boating and camping. Mostly he enjoyed what he called "The Good Life."
Charles is survived by his wife of 15 years, Ignacia Paquette; 2 nieces, Mary Cake of Folsom , CA and Rose King of Sacramento, CA.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margarett Paquette in 1996.
A visitation will be held, Friday, Jan. 11, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a vigil at 7 p.m., at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, 524 Capitol St., Vallejo. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, Jan. 12, at 10 a.m., at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 925 Sacramento St., Vallejo. Burial to follow at Sunrise Memorial Cemetery.
