Josefina 'Peny' Pangco Ricafrente was born in the Philippines on Dec. 5, 1927. She was a homemaker and small business owner. She met Isabelo 'Eloy' Ricafrente and they were married in June, 1950. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary at her church in the Philippines and was also a member of Fairfiled II Four Square Church in Suisun City. She loved humming tagalog songs and enjoyed playing cards and going to the casinos to gamble. She was a generous, giving, helpful, trusting and a beautiful person. She was always there to extend a hand for her siblings, relatives, neighbors and strangers.
She is survived by her six children and their spouses: Fernando and Naomi, Elvira and Rey, Teresita and Darwin, Alberto and Christine, Ruben, and Abel; by her 11 grandchildren and their spouses: Jonathan and Renee, Nephtali and Sheila, Abigail, Joshua and Genie, Danica, Darwin Jr., Marikris, Aaron, Mae, John John, and Jayrom; and by her eight great grandchildren: Josiah, Caeleb, Mikah, Isaac, Lenneah, Noah, Elijah and Star.
She was fondly referred to as Tita Penz, 'Te Peny and Lola Peny.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, and Thursday, April 18, from 1 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 19, at 11 a.m. Both visitation and funeral service will be held at Skyview Memorial Lawn, 200 Rollingwood Drive, Vallejo.
